About Laser Hair Removal
Excessive hair growth is the result of heredity, hormonal factors and some medications. Commonly treated areas are the face, back, neck, legs, bikini line, chest, and underarms. Any skin area can be treated except eyelids.
Hair Removal Lasers remove hair by targeting the pigment in the hair follicle itself. The light of the laser is transferred into heat energy which is absorbed by the hairs pigment. This heat causes destruction of the bed where the hair grows and when performed properly will prevent the follicle from producing new hair. The treatment is highly effective but can only be used on hair with a significant level of pigment. Lasers will work on hair within the black and brown spectrum of color.
